New Lynn is located towards the west of the Auckland urban area, 10 kilometres to the southwest of the Auckland city centre. The settlement developed in the early 20th century due to the brick and pottery industry, and in 1963 became a major commercial centre for Auckland with the opening of LynnMall, the first American-style shopping centre in New Zealand. In the town centre is one of Auckland’s main public transit interchanges links West Auckland with other parts of the city by rail and bus. At the southern end of the suburb is one of Auckland’s best-known golf courses, Titirangi Golf Club Community.
With many sports and leisure facilities and entertainment and dining options, New Lynn is a vibrant community which offers every amenity you could want and more.
At the heart of New Lynn is it’s Community Centre which offers a range of classes and courses from language classes to yoga. New Lynn library also offers classes and activities for adults and children.
