    Henderson

Henderson is located 13 km to the west of Auckland’s city centre and is nestled between Te Atatū Peninsula and the stunning Waitākere Ranges, is often regarded as the vibrant heart of West Auckland. Central Henderson is a business, transportation and shopping hub. You can also access the twin streams cycle way from beside the West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre, which takes you into Auckland City.

Henderson was named after early colonial settler Thomas Henderson, who started a timber mill in the area in ca. 1847 to process the kauri trees which were cut from the Henderson Valley, and upstream from the eastern flanks of the Waitakere Ranges. It's a residential suburb home to vast Henderson Park, with its walking paths and disc golf course, as well as hiking and biking trails following the tranquil Opanuku Stream through native bushland. In a former winery, Corban Estate Arts Centre hosts art classes, exhibitions, and a cafe. WestCity Waitakere mall offers fashion and homewares, while The Boundary open-air complex has big-name retailers.

    A Semicircle Of Schooling Ease

This is a special one. So effortlessly cosy, and so carefully kept, long held and offering lovely character features sewn into the classic design, it immediately feels like home.

With perfectly preserved character including timber trimmings that create a sense of texture and warmth and neat as a pin, its classic charm sings out for a contemporary reinterpretation.

With a heritage of care, in a location that is perfect for children and young families, the site is level, offers excellent off-street parking and a brilliant aspect. Situated in a vibrant established neighbourhood, it will tick much off your wishlist.

The layout is comfortingly traditional, with the bedrooms sensibly placed to the rear and the dining space opening out to the lounge. Well sized, the bathroom is an easy contender for the creative joy of your first aesthetic mood board as you wait to settle.

Speaking of settlement, as the property is currently vacant, it offers the ability to be in your new home promptly to ease little ones into the first school term.

Adjacent to a set of schools that literally hug the address, Henderson North School, Henderson Intermediate, Waitakere College, Liston College and Saint Dominic’s College are a handful of meters away. Fairdene reserve is happily proximate and the entire suburb is dotted with parks and recreation zones enhancing the family-friendly ambience.

An easy drive to the Northwestern Motorway on-ramp, the district hospital, an extensive public transport hub and West Auckland’s most established shopping precinct as well as the West Wave pool complex and the extensive library.

Weekends will be spent exploring the inimitable black sand beaches that frame the West Coast or pottering in your lovely orderly garden. Freehold, the land is the perfect canvass for your landscaping vision.
